Film on Film Ltd has been set up by Gary Thomas and James Marcus Tucker to make ‘Like Birth’ the new short film by James.

Gary Thomas

Gary worked as an intern for the New Producers Alliance in 2003 and for the London Film Festival the same year. He has received funding from Dada-South, Screen South, Arts Council England, Unltd & Skillset. Gary made his first short in 2004, directing and DOP on 'He Came With Wheels', produced and written by Kieran Bright & Cherry Bennet. The film was shown in 4 festivals, including one in Croatia and the London Disability Film Festival. He has made 2 other shorts, 'Coming out' (funded by Dada-South), and 'Early One Summer' (2007).

In 2007 he filmed and edited a 40 minute documentary about a day service for learning disabled people. He is working on 3 feature ideas, and a TV series.




James Marcus Tucker

After making his first short film at the age of 13, he went on to study film/TV production skills at ITV West Television Workshop in Bristol, followed by a Film/Video degree, graduating in 2005. He also studied film production at the Brighton Film School. His clients have included: ITV, i2ic Technology, Regions TV, London Role Play Company, Sixty6 Films, Shoot Bamboo, Gilrei Productions... Whilst working on his own personal artistic projects, he continues to shoot and edit content for multiple internet channels and sites, DVD projects, corporate videos, community films, music videos, ITV Local and London Tonight features and acts as DoP on independent digital short and feature films.

James is often trusted to work on projects under his own steam, with a good eye for composition, lighting and with experience in editing, able to shoot with an eye for the edit.
